Family history

The ancestors Henrik Anderson Mielty (fka Luoma) and Kaisa (Kari’s) Andersdaughter were wed on the 29th of June 1692 in Ilmajoki. Their eldest child was born in December of 1692 in the house of Hannuksela where Henrik was as a farmhand. Henrik and Kaisa then settled and found a new farm called Luoma in the village of Peräseinäjoki, which in turn belongs to the parish of Ilmajoki.

Antti was imprisoned by Russians when he was only 13-years-old in 1714 during a period of Russian occupation of Finland called Great Wrath. The eldest, Tuomas, stayed as the Luoma farm’s master. Henrik and Kaisa moved with their four sons – Simo, Kalle, Juho and Heikki – to Isokyrö, to a house called Mielty in Orismalankylä.
