Luoma-Mielty family’s ancestral houses were not only in Peräseinäjoki and Isonkyrö in the 17th century but also in Alavus, Jalasjärvi and Vähäkyrö. The first ancestral house was in Luoma, Peräseinäjoki, habited by the ancestors Henrik Anderson and Kaisa Andersdaughter. At the end of July, we received visitors from British Columbia, Canada. Alfred Mielty – the grandson of Frans Evalt Mielty, who emigrated from Isokyrö to America in 1893 – came to explore his family roots together with his daughter Stephanie and her husband Andreas. In the photo, they are visiting Kyrö Distillery in Isokyrö.
